  •      Haven't been on here on a long time. This past month has been very hectic. I've been trying to finish this semester's school up. This has been pretty stressful, as I also started feeling bad again. I had a few good months of feeling absolutely great. It was pretty awesome and I praise God for them.  The headaches and fatigue that have been hitting again make it hard to concentrate now, so schoolwork, and well, anything, can be difficult.  But God has been blessing in small ways, and things are working. I can't wait till I can finish these last several courses though.  I keep thinking that I really need a break and a chance to get away, but I don't think that's going to happen either, as I'm taking summer courses too... Thankfully, they don't start till the end of May.  I still have a few weeks to try to finish these other courses up.  This isn't how I had planned things, but I guess God had better plans, so I'm trying to rest in that.

There's something great about spring! The babies :)We have six baby goats and all of them are adorable :) We have one little buck kid that is tan with white splotches on him.  He's only a few weeks old, but I think he's adorable, and as small as he is, he lets me pick him up and cuddle him.

Well, it's late, and I need to head back to bed. After sleeping for the last couple hours, I'm still exhausted, and going to try to catch up on some more sleep tonight.  Goodnight and God bless!

  • I read this today....and thought it put into words so perfectly, the hope and peace Christians have...

When Chrysostom was brought before the Roman Emperor, the Emperor threatened him with banishment if he remained a Christian.

Chrysostom replied, "Thou canst not banish me for this world is my father's house."

"But I will slay thee," said the Emperor.

"Nay, thou canst not," said the noble champion of the faith, "for my life is hid with Christ in God."

"I will take away thy treasures."

"Nay, but thou canst not for my treasure is in heaven and my heart is there."

"But I will drive thee away from man and thou shalt have no friend left."

"Nay thou canst not, for I have a friend in heaven from whom thou canst not separate me. I defy thee; for there is nothing that thou canst do to hurt me."

About Me

  • I'm just another country girl trying to live each day abandoned to my great and wonderful heavenly Father. Seeing His hand in my life and in the lives of those nearest and dearest to me is amazing. I'm in a relationship with a man I deeply admire, and we're seeking a future together. One step at a time, God leads us closer to Him. It's my desire to be a wife and mother and be part of the grand adventure of raising a family that glorifies God. I still have much to learn, but that's part of the adventure, the Great and Terrible Quest. It's Great because there's nothing better than giving one's life in service to the King of Kings. It's Terrible (as in challenging) because Satan wants my destruction and ruin...and also because I'm a sinner like everyone else, and I make mistakes. But I wouldn't trade anything for getting my chance to embark on the Great and Terrible Quest.
